Why have a Health Coach?
Are You Happy with Your Body?
If diets aren’t working and you’re not happy with your body, then you’ve come to the right place. We help you with Coaching and Kinesiology to enable you to shift what’s stopping you from having that beautiful body you desire.
You may not be aware that dieting and calorie counting is a very yang thing to do, just like slogging it out in the gym. We often cut out the healthy fats needed for brain health, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
While it works for some and it’s easier when we are young, it’s not always the best way. Dieting and exercise is not designed to ebb and flow with our natural cycle. It’s exhausting and here’s the kicker, you’re missing out, feeling virtuous but not getting the results.
Simply put, when you are not in flow … you DON’T lose weight.
I treat teens and adults who have weight problems or more serious conditions such as:
- Binge eating – which can be substituting something because you’re tuning out from what is happening in your life
- Overeating – filling yourself up with food instead of great connections
- Bulimia – overfilling yourself then feeling so awful you purge instead of loving who you are
- Anorexia – where an undigested life experience can be guiding you to under eat
There is a better way, and it’s a combination of learning and clearing. I offer coaching to teens and adults, being mindful that the reasons behind their weight may differ.
Together we build the self-resilience that gives you the ripple effect of wanting to eat healthily without counting calories.

Teenage Coaching Health
As a teenager, it’s natural to look for peer validation and so judge based on what someone else thinks. Photos go to friends to see if they are good enough, you may worry about who likes a photo on Instagram and how many likes you have. There’s so many small details that can make or break a teenager’s self-esteem and sense of place in the world.
It can be a cruel popularity contest where you compare yourself with a fashion model face and body shape that is for most of us unrealistic without surgery. Yet your whole life turns on those small details.
It takes time to understand why these external factors are taken over your own inner guidance and we turn this around. Being happy in your relationship with yourself is one primary marker that addresses binge eating, overeating and anxiety to develop a healthy self-image. Together, we can find your inner happy healthy self.
Adult Health Coaching
Oftentimes, our eating challenges are connected to work, money, relationship, family, intimacy, life stress and so much more. By working on the places that are most relevant for you, success is more easily achieved.
As an Eating Psychology Coach, I look to support you with coaching strategies and nutrition principles that are nourishing, doable, sustainable, and that yield results.
Rather than focussing on a limited way of eating, we overcome weight issues through techniques such as:
*Being mindful
*Not eating under stress
*Choosing macro nutrients
*Eating healthy fats
*Normal balanced diets
*Self-nurturing
If you’ve been struggling and want to learn to have a healthy relationship with food, let me know.
Dee’s Experience with Food
I’m possibly like you. As a younger person, with low self-esteem and not feeling that I could speak up, I always felt I had weight issues. I was really crappy at dieting and really great at beating myself up.
Until I became a Health Coach
Now, I have learned to let go of calorie counting and to nourish myself with nutritionally balanced food that makes me feel energised and well!
I feel at the top of my game. I am happy within myself and I do not beat myself up anymore. I enjoy my food, I eat slowly and I am present when I eat. We can do that together for you.
How is Coaching different?
For far too long, we’ve been inundated by negative messages about food, weight and diet. We’ve been told that we are willpower weaklings or that we need more control. Nutrition experts promote differing advice. The result is people are confused about what to eat and how to have a happy relationship with food and a healthy metabolism.
In my professional practice, I combine many of the best strategies from nutrition science and eating psychology. By eliminating all the ‘shoulds and shouldn’ts’, I focus on what’s right for your body and your personal style. As we work together in this way, eating and health issues become a place of exploration.
Instead of seeing such challenges as the enemy, they become opportunities for growth and self-improvement. I’ve learned to help clients reach their highest goals not by strategies that punish, but through strategies that nourish.
Although I focus on the mind, body, soul connection, my practice is founded in eating psychology as taught by a global leader in the field.
What is Eating Psychology Coaching?
Eating Psychology Coaching is an exciting and cutting-edge approach to weight and body image challenges developed by the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.
It effectively addresses weight concerns, binge eating, overeating, body image challenges, and various nutrition related health concerns.
As an Eating Psychology Coach, my approach is positive and empowering. I don’t see your eating challenges merely as a sign that ‘something is wrong with you’ – but as a place where we can more fully explore some of the personal dimensions in life that impact food, weight and health.
Health Coach
My qualification as an Eating Psychology Coach is from the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. That’s the world’s leading school in Nutritional Psychology. In IPE’s internationally acclaimed program, I learned powerful cutting-edge tools and protocols.
I am qualified to work with weight issues, body image challenges, overeating and binge eating. The training also covers a variety of nutrition related health concerns such as digestion, fatigue, mood, immunity, and others.
My work combines the powerful new fields of Dynamic Eating Psychology and Mind-Body Nutrition. We use a combination of practical coaching techniques, results-oriented psychology, clinical nutrition, and body-centered practices. These are combined with mind-body science and a positive, compassionate approach to challenges with food and health.
What is Dynamic Eating Psychology?
Dynamic Eating Psychology is an important new field originated by Marc David, Founder of the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. It’s a positive, empowering and transformational approach that’s designed for anyone who eats.
Each of us has a unique, fascinating and ever-changing relationship with food. Dynamic Eating Psychology affirms the primary importance of this relationship. It sees our challenges with eating, weight and health as a beautiful opportunity to grow and evolve.
Previously, eating psychology has been limited to those with clinical eating disorders. Dynamic Eating Psychology though, is for everyone. It affirms that our relationship with food has important lessons to teach us if we choose to listen. And it recognizes that our challenges with eating, weight and health are intimately connected to other primary life dimensions such as:
- *Relationship
- *Family
- *Work
- *Sexuality,
- *Search for meaning
- *Fulfilment
Dynamic Eating Psychology is a powerful breakthrough approach, especially when combined with mind-body nutrition.
What is Mind-Body Nutrition?
Mind-Body Nutrition is an exciting and timely new field that advances the practice of clinical nutrition. The expansion explores the psychophysiology of how thoughts, feelings and beliefs impact nutritional metabolism and health.
Originated by Marc David, Founder of the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, it goes far beyond classical nutrition by focusing on the fascinating connections between brain, body, and behavior.
Simply put, what we eat is only half of the story of good nutrition. The other half is who we are as eaters. Mind Body Nutrition reveals how our eating patterns are connected to:
- *stress physiology
- *the relaxation response
- *breathing
- *awareness
- *pleasure
- *meal timing
These factors and more profoundly influence digestion and calorie burning. The field facilitates practical and results-oriented strategies for the most commonly seen eating challenges and health issues of our times.
You may have unhealthy beliefs, blocks or habits that we clear with kinesiology and food coaching. This is replaced with knowing how to be present, happy and healthy in your mind, body and soul. You’ll be self-aware and know how to make great, satisfying choices.
What to do if you have Weight Issues or Food Challenges
Together we will focus on exactly what is happening above the surface and below. This may mean bringing your life experience to the surface so that you can digest it and move forward. You will have access to clearing all sabotage along the way through kinesiology, which deals with subconscious and therefore unknown blocks.
What this means is that you have a new exciting possibility for your life and your health available right now. It’s a unique combination and I would love to help you become happy and healthy.
Let’s chat about improving your life today.
